The main author and administrator of Self-Care Support has served as a licensed Counselor for patients, caregivers, the grieving, survivors of abuse and other traumas, and many other souls fighting to take decent care of themselves in the midst of crisis. She is also a survivor of loss and trauma, and has been a longtime caregiver.
The truth is, it doesn’t matter who any of us are or what kinds of stress we are struggling with. Self-care is the most effective action to take, when we need to rebuild enough strength to thrive in this world again. Or even when we are doing okay, but juggling many responsibilities and trying to keep up!
Self-care is a universal necessity of the human experience; superseding culture, age, and many other variables. When we do or don’t take good care of our own health, it ripples out to all other relationships and communities. It is also becoming more common for people to seek support for their own self-care efforts; even if for encouragement, motivation and structure.
Since self-care is an element that we ALL struggle with at times, and a journey that we all must travel... It is our intent to provide a safe space where we can go and drink from the well until we feel revitalized… a place where we can go again and again, as many times as needed! It is our sincere hope that you find your own wellspring at selfcare-support.com; and drink as deeply, as long, and as many times as you need.
We hope you enjoy your time here. Please visit often and help us spread the word!
Many Thanks and Blessings,
